And we are back online.....
The Return
This site used to be pretty active. Then something terrible happened. I got busy, and the poor website got neglected. The date of the last post reads June 2008. The Schwarzenegger once said, "I'll be back", and back we are.
The ironic thing about doing client work is that when you're doing well, you are so busy that you don't have time to work on your own site. But when your own site get's neglected, it ultimately affects the sales pipeline. At some point you have to sit down and devote time to it.
Building your own site can also be therapeutic. You have full creative license. It let's you get away from the frustrations that sometimes come with doing client work.
Goodbye Wordpress
P163.sg used to be running on Wordpress. As much as I love Wordpress, I love our home-grown Koobiya much more. More on Koobiya will be coming up in a couple of weeks, but the screenshots above give a preview of what some of the admin interfaces look like.
The posts and comments converted fine from Wordpress, however, line breaks in some posts got messed up because Koobiya only recognizes HTML line breaks. So untill we get around to fixing it, some of the older posts wouldn't have any paragraph breaks.
Logo Change
Our logo had been changed on our stationery for quite some time now, but it's coming online for the first time. And yes, we are still shamelessly using a default photoshop shape for the logo, not because we're lazy, but because we freakin love it so much.
The Plan
So here's the plan. There's going to be at least one half-way useful blog post per week. The goal-setter gurus say that letting the public know about your goals gives you that much more impetus to run towards it. So there it is.
There's still lots of work to be done on this site, but hey, I think this is a pretty good start.
