There is no Google Phone
It's great news to hear that Google was not spending their time building another mobile phone to compete with the iPhone. I always thought of Google as more mature than that, and I've been proven right.
Instead of announcing the much anticipated gPhone, Google announced Android, which, and I quote
is more significant and ambitious than a single phoneAfter acquiring the mobile development company Android in 2005, Google had been busy working on the Open Handset Alliance, which promises to make mobile applications available on a wide variety of platforms. With a lot of big names already signed up, the way I see it, Android is setting up to be what Java was to the internet.
