TED: Software Art by Golan Levin
I am both a programmer and a designer, and so I was always fascinated with idea of using programming logic to create art. Golan Levin, who calls himself a performance artist, does just that. He writes software that creates art.
In this 15 minute presentation, he puts up quite a performance using only his software. You won't be drooling at first, but as it progresses, there are some out-of-the-world designs being rendered onto the screen. Granted, not everyone would enjoy this kind of thing, but if you are in any way interested in abstract computer art, you should take a look at this one.
If I were to change something in that, I would change the sounds from the weird noises to some psychedelic stuff.
