Tatarah Down Due to Overwhelming Bandwith

Before rolling out a $600,000 ad campaign for your brand new site, you need to make sure you have everything in place to handle the traffic the campaign is going to send your way. Apparently, Tatarah.com.sg found this out the hard way. After launching on the 26th of October, the site seems to have crashed. Quoting from there:

Due to overwhelming response, Tatarah.com.sg is undergoing urgent bandwidth upgrade to cater to all our members.

This is an eccentric example of a successful off-line marketing campaign.The ads ran over the MRT, buses, and taxis. Despite most people's inability to remember a URL when they get to their computer, the sheer frequency of the ads seem to have made it succesful.
