Seth Godin - Is it Remarkable Enough?

In another great talk from Ted.com, Seth Godin talks about how mass marketing doesn't work like it used to. Consumers have too many choices and too little time these days, driving them to ignore everything that isn't worthy of their time. In order be noticed you have to be remarkable. What Seth proposes is to market at the early adapters, and the innovators, the groups traditional marketing would normally ignore. By marketing at people who are really interested in your product, your chances of getting them to tell their friends about and spread the word are much higher. This is a great talk to watch to reboot your marketing brain a little.

Thanks, those were some well-spent fifteen minutes. Now, the reason I bothered clicking through the post title and searched for a comment form here was because I'm coming from Sitepoint. Have you noticed you don't have a comment button on your main page? How will you attract people if they can't find a call to action? Overall, great content, great design, but drop me a line when you fix that. :-)
