How NOT to do a Web App - The Taskerous Way

Here's the thing...
I recently launched a to do list application because I couldn't find an existing app simple enough to fit my needs. Yup, that's right. Instead of looking for features, I was looking for a lack of it, since most of the existing apps tend to overwhelm you with their complicated screens.
While looking around for alternatives, I came across Taskerous.com. Apart from it's rather unwelcoming dark interface, it had a pretty decent to-do list setup. I registered and entered some test items. However, I soon left the app because it wasn't a good fit.
But Taskerous didn't leave me.
Every day I get an email in my inbox with my test tasks. I tried looking for an unsubscribe link, but only found a line saying:
[If you need any support please try praying.]
I get it. It's a free app and it's done toungue in cheek, but it pisses me off when it's on an email in my inbox. The only way I managed to stop this is by reporting it as spam.

You are not alone (hence me ending up here after searching).
We were looking at a number of 'to do' options, including Taskerous (and Things, OmniFocus, Toodledo, Remember The Milk, Verb, and TASCK), for which we also set up a test task. Deleting the test task did not get rid of the daily email however. Further the domain is registered through DomainsByProxy and finding anyone involved with the company is proving fruitless.
Perhaps if their mail servers makes Spamhaus' list, it will get someone's attention. If I have time later I will further investigate which mail servers they are in fact using, and will look to get in contact with the company who owns them and try that avenue.
