Although this video is about cycling safety, the reason I'm posting it here is because it's a great testament to the power of focus. While listening this week's episode of Twit, one of the participants commented on how single-minded Steve Jobs was. It's because of his single focus, which borders most times on insanity, that he was able to drive Apple to the heights it has reached.

There is a reason why the jack of all trades is a master of none. It is important to be a jack of more than one trade, because it's always better to have some backup if things turn sour on one front. But if you want to reach the top, you have to narrow down and focus all your energies on a single objective.
