Acrobat Reader - Why no direct download?
The latest greatest version of the Adobe Acrobat Reader 8.0 had a lot of great improvements. I was especially impressed by it's super-fast load time, and cleaned up interface. However, one gripe I have is that when you go to the Adobe website to download the reader, you have to install the Adobe Download Manager plug-in on your browser. This is a hassle, all for a mere 22 MB file. Now if Adobe wanted to add this as an optional convenience for dial-up users, that would be commendable.
